    3. [S36] Parish Register, England, Kent: Church of England, Canterbury Cathedral Archives, (U.S.A., Salt Lake City: Genealogical Society of Utah), Preston-next-Faversham, Kent, England, LDS Film #2354699, 10 Dec 1747.
Despite the fact that the burial of Amy, Laurence's wife, suggests that she was still a wife and therefor, that Laurence was still living at her death, the overseers accounts clearly identify that Laurence was alive during 1746 and quite "desparate" by the end of that year. In 1747 Joseph Ruck is substituted on the assessments in place of Laurence, which would seem to further lend weight to the fact that Laurence Ruck senior had, indeed, died during 1747.
