IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN, I, RICHARD AMIS, of Molash in the County of Kent, Carpenter, being weak in body but of a sound and perfect mind and memry thanks be to Almighty God for the same do make and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say,
Impris, I give up my Soul to Almighty God my Maker and my Body to the Earth to be decently buried according to the discretion of my Executris hereinafter [interlineation: in orili sir] and as to what worldly Goods it hath pleased Almighty God to endow me with I dispose of as follows,
Item, I give and bequeath unto my loving Daughter, ELIZABETH AMOS who I had by my former Wife the full sum of fifty pouonds of lawful Money of Great Britain to be paid unto her by my Executrix when she shall attain to her full age of one and twenty years or day of marriage which shall first happen. AND my meaning is that my wife shall have the interest of the said fifty pounds during so long as my daughter lives with her but when she has amine to ive abroad in the world then my Executrix shall yearly pay her lawful interest for the fifty pounds till the time of payment, AND I also give and bequeath to my said daughter ELIZABETH one bed, bedstedle, blankets and all the appurtenances as it now stands in the chamber over the hall, one oaken chest without drawers, two pai of sheets, one pair of them new one iron pot and one trunk which were her mother's to be delivered to her at any time when she pleases to call for them by my Executrix.
Item, I give and devise unto my welbeloved sons THOMAS and RICHARD all and every my messuage and lands wherein I now dwell called Barlings situate lying and being in Molash in the County of Kent and all and every the appurtenances to the same belonging or reputed or taken to belong and which I now use, occupy or enjoy and all other my lands lying in Molash or elsewhere equally to be divided between them share and share alike, and to their heirds forever; except so much as I shall hereafter dispose others; But in case either of them should happen to die without issue lawfully begotten of his body then the aforesaid premises shall descend to the survivor or longest liver and to his heirs forever,
Item my further will and meaning is since it hatha pleased God my wife is now at the making this my last Will and Testament big with child and the support and maintenance there I give and devise to the same if it prove a male child an equal share with my other two sons in my aforesaid messuage and lands according as my devise is to them as aforesaid and if it prove a female then I give and bequeath her fifty pounds to be paid her at just such times and such form as I have ordered for my daughter ELIZABETH by my Executor;
Item, I give and bequeath unto my kinsman THOMAS SMITH all my working tools belonging to the carpenting trade to be delivered unto him upon demand by my Executrix hereby desiring him to be aiding and assisting to my Executrix in her performance of this my Will;
Item, I give and bequeath unto my dearly beloved wife ELIZABETH the rest, residue and remainder of all and every my goods, cattle, chattels, crop or corn on the ground, debts, mortgages, bills, bonds, ready money, household stuff and personal estate whatsoever AND I do make and ordain my said loving wife full and sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby ordering and appointing her to take up so much money upon my esate as I have devised to my sons as fully satisfy those legacies as I have before herein given without being accountable to my said sons for the same desiring her faithfully to perform the same and pay all my just debts hereby revoking all former Wills by me made.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF I the said RICHARD AMOS have hereunto set my hand and seal this seventeenth day of November in the sixth year of the reign of our sovereign Lady Anne over Great Britain, etc. Queen, defender of the faith etc, Anno domini 1707.
