251 1920 census states that Clara arrived in the U.S. during 1902 and was naturalized during 1913. She is living with her second husband Henry Tuttle, who was aged 31, born Massachusetts and was a manager on a diary farm.

Clara Tong (nee Duncan) and her young son, Archibald H. Tong, then aged 2, were located on passenger arrival lists for 11 March 1910. She landed at Boston having sailed aboard the Ivernia from Southampton in England. Her passenger record records her closest kin from the country she was leaving as being, Mrs. Elizabeth Duncan, her mother, at Faversham. Clara records her previous address as being Nashua, New Hampshire. She also indicated that her son had been born at Nashua and that Mrs. Elizabeth Duncan was his grandmother.

The 1910 census was taken on 15 April 1910 and accordingly, Clara and her son, Archibald, had returned home by that time. This passenger arrival record is the first hint at just how frequently our family remembers the numerous trips made by Lizzie and her children across the Atlantic Ocean.

277 9/06/01: Wendy Dypolt of Canada writes: I am looking for any leads on these ancestors. Lancashire is mentioned in the history files we have come across.

My great grandfather, Benjamin Nutt Rayner was born in 1839 in Canterbury England. Benjamin married Maria Wood who was born in Milton in 1837. They lived at #42 High St and also at #11 Station St in Sittingbourne, Kent for many years, where he ran a grocery store. Both are buried in a church cemetery in Sittingbourne. Benjamin and Maria had several children, one of whom is my grandfather: They are: 1. Benjamin Rayner born 1867 (lost track of him) He may have descendants in England. 2. Frank Rayner born 1875. (Disappeared mysteriously while taking a train to London and never arrived!) Frank may have descendants living in the Kent area. 3. Sophie Rayner 1876-1955. Sophie married Percy Chrisfield and they moved to Syracuse New York. 4. Charlotte Katherine (or Kate) Rayner born ?? Kate married George Chrisfield (Percy's brother) and they also moved to Syracuse, New York. Percy is listed as deceased 1975 in the US Social Security Index in Syracuse. 5. Ada Rayner born ?? Ada married Fred Cullis and they lived at 53 Ellerly St, Fulham Rd, London, after which I wasn't able to trace them. Ada and Fred had a daughter Elizabeth and perhaps a son Fred but I haven't found any birthdates yet. 6. May Rayner born ?? She married Harry Taylor and I haven't been able to trace them any further. 7. Charles Wood Rayner born Mar 17, 1879. Charles emigrated to Canada and married Mary Esther Simpson (June 3, 1887-Aug 13, 1973) on Aug 13, 1913 (They are my grandparents). He died Apr 13, 1961. Charles came to the US and spent several years there before he came to Creelman, Sask. Canada and later moved to Lancer Sask where he farmed. dwand5@home.com

300 A grant of Administration was made in the PCC to an Ann Ruck, relict of a William Ruck, Sr. of Boughton-under-Blean. Inasmuch as William, the son of William died and left a Will dated 1592 then the only other William that is left, is William the son of John and Thomasine. This also raises an interesting question in that this William is referred to as William Ruck, Sr. rather than William Ruck, the elder, indicating that this William may have also had a son named William. FOWLER OR FULLER, Ann (I6256)
