      Testamentum of Mariane Stickard late of Bethersden, deceased, registered 1609

      IN NOMINE DIE AMEN, the thirtieth day of November in the year of our Lord God one thousand, six hundred and eight, I, MARRIAN STICKARD, of the parish of Bethersden in the County of Kent, widow, do make and ordain this my testament containing therein my last Will in manner and form following.

      First, I bequeath my soul to Almighty God, and my body to the earth from whence it came.

      Item, I will and give unto SUSAN my daughter the wife the THOMAS STONE, twenty shillings of lawful English money to be paid unto her by my Executor herafter mentioned within six months next after my decease.

      Item, I give and bequeath unto the said SUSAN, my daughter, my black goared cow to be delivered unto her within six months next after my decease by my Executor as aforesaid.

      Item, I give and bequeath unto my said daughter SUSAN, one bed with a boulster thereunto belonging lying in the parlour, to be delivered within six months as aforesaid by my said Executor.

      Item, I will and bequeath unto GRACE BENCHKYNE, my daughter, twenty shillings to be paid unto her within six months next after my decease by my Executor as aforesaid.

      Item, I will and bequeath unto MARY, my daughter, the wife of JOHN MILSTEDD, twelve pence to be paid unto her within six months next after my decease by my Executor.

      item, I give unto REBECCA, my daughter the wife of ABRAHAM TURNER, twenty shillings of lawful money of England and the bed which standeth next the bed wherein I lie with those things which belong unto it as it now standeth, to be delivered unto her within six months next after my decease by my said Executor.

      itme, I give and bequeath unto SARA, my daughter the wife of TYMOTHIE COLLIER, twelve pence to be paid unto her within six months next after my decease.

      Item, I give and bequeath unto SUSAN BENCHKYNE, the daughter of GRACE BENCHKYNE, my bed wherein lie with all things thereunto belonging with two pair of sheets and my cupboard and my cauldron and my brass pot and my little poslint and my morter and my chaffing dish and my best candlesticks and two pieces of pewter and a tablecloth and a pillow coate and a chest and my best woollen trendle and my stockards and a pair of cardes and a little keeler and a spit and a dripping pan and a little barrel and two fruggs. All these things which I have given unto SUSAN BENCHKYNE, the daughter of GRACE BENCHKYNE, my wil is shall be delivered unto her by my Executor hereafter mentioned within one month next after my decease.

      Item, I will and bequeath unto ELIZABETH, the daughter of my son NICHOLAS STICKARD, my youngest cow.

      The residue of all my goods and chattels, moveable and unmoveable and household stuff not already given or bequeathed, I will and bequeath unto NICHOLAS STICKARD, my son, whom I ordain and make to be my sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament.

      IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have set to my hand and seal the day and year above written.
