- IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN, the six and twentieth day of May Anno Regni Rebis viri Caroli ordi xxxiiii Annoquam Domini one thousand six hundred eighty two, I, LAWRENCE LAGGITT, of Wye, in the County of Kent, yeoman, being sick and weak in body but of sound and perfect memory thanks be to Almighty God for the same do make, constitute, ordain and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, revoking and annullling by these presents all and every testatment and testaments, will and wills heretofore by me made and declared either by word or by writing,
First, I give and bequeath unto my eldest daughter, ELIZABETH FRIEND, the sum of three pounds of good and lawful money of England to be paid to her within one year after my decease.
Item, I give unto my son FRANCIS three pounds of like lawful money to be paid unto him within one year and half after my decease.
Item, I give and bequeath unto my daughter, ANNE LAGGITT, three pounds of like money to be paid her within three years after my decease.
Item, I give and bequeath unto my son STEPHEN LAGGITT three pounds of like lawful money of England to be paid within four years after my decease.
Item, I give and bequeath unto my loving wife, MARGERY all and singular my household goods and utensils to her only use and behoofe forever.
Item, I give and bequeath unto my son, JOHN LAGGITT my dwelling house together with the outhousing and the land thereto belonging and all my stock whatsoever he paying out of the same the several sums before mentioned according as is above limited and expressed and also paying unto my said daughter, ELIZABETH, five pounds within four years after my decease and to my said daughter, ANNE, six pounds within six years after my decease.
Item to my son, FRANCIS, fifteen pounds of like good and lawful money within five years after my decease.
Item to my son STEPHEN fifteen pounds to be paid within nine years after my decease.
And of this my last Will and Testament I do ordain, constitute and make my said son, JOHN LAGGITT, sole Executor.

IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN, I, KATHARINE RIGDEN, of the parish of Wye, in the County of Kent, widow, being aged and weakly in body yet of good and perfect understanding and memory God be praised for it, do therefore while life doth last and memory is good, make and ordain this my present testament and last Will in manner and form following and
First and principally I do give and bequeath my soul to God my creator who gave it me and my body to be decently laid in the earth and as to the disposing of my temporal goods them I do give as followeth:
Item, I do give, will and bequeath unto STEPHEN LAGGIT, my great grandson, one shilling of good English money to be paid him by my Executor hereafter named within twelve months next after my decease.
Item, I do give, will and bequeath unto SUZANNE, my daughter, WIDOW WANSTALL, twenty pounds of good English money to be paid unto her by my Executor hereafter named within twelve months next after my decease.
Item, I do give, will and bequeath all the rest of my estate, money, mortgages, household stuff, and all other goods whatsoever unto my son-in-law, HENRY AUSTEN, when my debts, funeral and court charges and these legacies herein given are paid and discharged.
Moreover, I do hereby make, constitute and ordain the said HENRY AUSTEN, my son-in-law, to be the Executor of this my last Will and Testament whom I appoint and in trust to pay my debts and funeral expenses and for to do and perform for me all things that by an Executor are to be done and performed.
This is the last Will and Testament of me the said KATHARINE RIGDEN and hereby I do revoke and deny all other Wills by me made.
