IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN, the 9th day of April 1615, I, THOMAS BAKER, of the town of Folkeston in the County of Kent, hard hewer, sick and weake of body, but of good and perfect memory (God be thanked) doe make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following,
First, I bequeath my soul to almighty God my maker, hoping assuredly to be saved by the merits of the death and passion of Jesus Christ my saviour and I cojmmend my body to the earth whereof it was made,
Item, I give to CHRISTIAN BAKER my wife my house and garden and two acres of land lying in the parish of Folkestone aforesaid at a place there called Broadway, for and to her use of the said CHRISTIAN my wife, keeping herself a widow, that is to say, the house and garden til RICHARD BAKER my son shall come to be of the age of one and twenty years of age and the said two acres of land til my son THOMAS BAKER shall come to be of the age of one and twenty years of age, keeping herself a widow,
Item, I give to JUDITH BAKER my daughter four sheep, immediately after my decease and my will is that my wife, Executris of this my last Will shall keep the said four sheep for one whole year after my decease,
Item, I give to my son THOMAS BAKER twenty pounds when he shall come to be of the age of one and twenty years,
Item, I give to RICHARD BAKER my son five and twenty pounds when he shall come to the full age of one and twenty years of age,
The rest of my goods unbequethed, I give to the said CHRISTIAN BAKER my wife whom I make sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament. This is also the last Will and Testament of the said THOMAS BAKER of all the lands and tenements which he hath within the town and parish of Folkestone aforesaid as followeth,
First I give and bequeath to my said son THOMAS BAKER and to his heirs forever the said two acres of land above mentioned
Item, I give and bequeath to the said RICHARD BAKER my son and to his heirs forever the said house and garden above mentioned and I make RICHARD BAKER my brother and ROGER SUTTON my Supervisors of this my last Will and Testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written.
