- [S73] Personal correspondence written by George Gregory to Susan Dara Young, George Gregory, (Not published), 27 Mar 1992.
"The Ernest you refer to, we think, is the father. Frank E. Gregory owner of the "Emma" we called him "Turp" as in an abbreviation of turpentine. I know not why, but many times I have been fishing in the "Emma", which is still moored at Hollow Shore, which is around 1-1/2 miles from the Brents at the confluence of Faversham and Oare Creeks, just before their entry into the East Swale. Jim, Turp's son, look after his father's old boat, he keeps it immaculate, only kept for pleasure these days."
