At this Court came Thomas Gregory and claimed to hold of the Lord of this manor as of the manor aforesaid, by the like services and the yearly rent of nine pence payable at the Feast aforesaid one messuage on the south side of West Street, formerly in the occupation of Richard Creed, blacksmith and afterwards by Jane Jacob, lately Mary Hunt and now of Richard Baker and others; late the estate of Mary Hunt who aliened the same property to Thomas Gregory whereby a relief of four pence and one-half penny became due to the said Lord which the said Thomas Gregory has now paid in Court, acknowledged the tenure, did his fealty and is admitted tenant.
