IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, 23rd day of September in the year of our Lord 1590, I, THOMAS DALLYE [of Petham] first I do bequeath my soul unto Almighty God and my body unto the earth.
Item, I make my son, MARKES DALLYE mine Executor of all my goods.
Item, I give and bequeath unto my two daughters ELIZABETH DALLY and ALICE DALLY two chests each of them one.
Item, I give and bequeath unto JANE my wife all hair apparel except one gown and all that was given her by her mother.
Item, I give and bequeath unto ROBERT DALYE my son 12 shillings with to be paid unto him within five weeks after my decease.
Item, I do owe unto RICHARD YOUNGE twenty shillings to be paid within eight weeks after my decease.
Item, I do appoint MARK DALLYE my son to take and receive of JOHN BRIDGE 12 shillings.
Item, he must pay unto RICHARD PARROTE 7 shillings 6 pence.
Item, I do owe unto RICHARD YOUNG 7 shillings 4 pence.
Item, I give and bequeath unto my two daughters ELIZABETH DALY and ALICE DALLYE ten pounds to be divided between them both by equal portions for to be paid unto them when the youngest of them doth come to the age of twenty years which ten pounds being now in the occupation of RICHARD YOUNG.
