IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN, I, THOMAS RUCK, of Elham, in the County of Kent, yeoman, being weak in body but of sound mind, memory and understanding (praised be God) but considering the uncertainty of this transitory life do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following:
FIRST, I desire my body may be decently and privately buried at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named.
ALSO, I give and bequeath the sum of Sixty pounds of lawful money of Great Britain unto SARAH, my wife, and brother, HENRY RUCK, their Executors, Administrators and assigns UPON TRUST nevertheless to the intent and purpose that they my said wife, SARAH and brother, HENRY RUCK, their Executors, Administrators of assigns or some of one of them do and shall as soon as conveniently may be after my decease put and place out the same at interest upon the best security that can be got or procured until my daughter SARAH shall attain her full age of Twenty-one years and from and immediately after my said daughter SARAH shall have attained her full age of twenty-one years, then I give and bequeath the said principal sum of Sixty pounds together with all interest that shall be then due for the same unto my said daughter, her heirs, executors, administrators and assigns forever, but in case my said daughter SARAH shall happen to depart this life before she shall have attained her full age of twenty-one years, then I give and bequeath the same unto my said wife, SARAH, and her two sons, WILLIAM BEER and THOMAS BEER by her former husband equally between them share and share alike.
ALSO, I give and bequeath all and every my ready money and securities for money, plate, china, linen, woollen, stock, crop, husbandry tackle, and implements of husbandry, household goods, debts, chattels, and personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever which shall be due, owing, payable or belonging to me at the time of my decease (my debts, legacies, funeral expenses, and the charges of proving this my last Will and Testament being first fully satisfied and paid) unto my said wife, SARAH, for and during her term of natural life and from and immediately after her decease then I give and bequeath the same unto my said daughter SARAH, and the said WILLIAM BEER and THOMAS BEER equally between them share and share alike.
AND I do hereby make, ordain, nominate and appoint my said wife, SARAH, and brother, HENRY RUCK, Guardians to my said child, SARAH, until she shall attain her full age of twenty-one years and my Will and Desire is that my said wife, SARAH, do assist all in her power towards educating, maintaining and bringing up my said daughter SARAH until she shall attain her full age of twenty-one years.
AND LASTLY I do hereby make, ordain, nominate and appoint my said wife, SARAH, and my brother, HENRY RUCK, joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament And I do hereby revoke, make null and void all other Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do declare this to be my last Will and Testament.
IN WITNESS whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal, dated this eighteenth day of July One thousand seven hundred and seventy-five.

SIGNED, SEALED, PUBLISHED and DECLARED by the
Testator, THOMAS RUCK, as and for his last Will and
Testament in the presence of us, who in his presence
and at his request and in the presence of each other have
hereunto set our names as witnesses, the words "their
executors, administrators or assigns being first interlined
in the body of the above Will and the word "Thomas"
being first twice wrote on a Razuse [sic: erasure] in the
body of the above Will.

THE before registered Will of THOMAS RUCK, deceased, was proved the 23 day of December 1775 before the Reverend George Hearne, Clerk, Surrogate to the Worshipful Francis Simpson, Doctor of Laws, Official General to the Reverend the Archdeacon of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of SARAH RUCK, the widow, and one of the Executors named in the said Will, she being first sworn well and truly to perform the same, power being reserved to the other Executor.
