- Molash PR
John Gotely husbandman was buried January 8th 1705/6. A certificate brought the 13th of January following under the hand of Mr. Christopher Hargrave vicar of Westwell in the County of Kent that Isabell Fillmer of Molash made oath before him that the above mentioned party deceased was buried in woollen only according to the Act of Parliament in that case made and provided.

IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN, I, THOMAS SMITH, of Godmersham, in the County of Kent, Malster, being sick of body but of perfect memory priased be God, to this fourteenth day of February in the year of our Lord God one thousand, six hundred eighty and four make and declare this my last Will and Testament in writing,
Touching the small estate which it hath pleased God to bestow upon me,
First I commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God my saviour and my body to be decently buried,
Item, I make and appoint my loving wife HANNA SMITH and my uncle JOHN GOTELY of Molash in the County of Kent, to be my whole and sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament, and THOMAS and RICHARD AMISE, her two brothers to be trustees.
Item, I give and bequeath to my son THOMAS SMITH fifty pounds when he comes to the age of one and twenty years if so be that he die before he comes to the age of one and twenty years it is to go to the next child or children that his wife now goeth withall and if so be it the child or children do live, I give and bequeath unto them fifty pounds a piece and if so be it either of these children die they are to be each others heirs, if so be she hath but one, fifty pounds is to be paid the children are to have the interest of these fifty pounds and the interest of one hundred pounds beside to bring them up till they come to age and if so be it the children fail it is to return all to their mother with the moveables and the remaining part which is left.
