Yesterday came on at the South Sea House, the Sale of the Estates of the late Directors of the South Sea Company following, viz. A Freehold Message, or Tenement, in Gravesend, in the County of Kent, late the Estate of Jacob SAWBRIDGE, Esq., put up at 250 pounds, and there being no Bidders, was unsold.

WHEREAS Mrs. Mary CROOK, late of Woolwich in the County of Kent, Widow and Relict of Christopher Crook, late Master Caulker of his Majesty's Yard at Woolwich, died Intestate the 12th of September last; and it is apprehended that a Nephew and Niece of the said Mrs. Crook are now living, and are the next of Kin to her, and will be intitled [sic] to have the Administration granted to them: Therefore the said Nephew and Niece, if living, are desired forthwith to apply to Mr. Samuel Plummer, of Clifford's Inn, London, who will inform them of something to their Advantage.

The late Mr. Sampson GIDEON has left, among other legacies, 1000L. to the London hospital and 2000L. to the corporation of the sons of the clergy; and 1000L. to the Jewish Synagogue. -- His remains were brought in hearse and six horses from his seat called Belvidere, in Kent, to Pewterer's Hall in Lyme Street, where the company that was to attend the funeral met; from whence the corps was carried in another hearse, drawn by six horses, and followed by 12 mourning coaches and six, to the Jews burying ground near Mile End, where the body was interred near noon, agreeable to the rites of the Jewish religion, as directed by his Will.

     THE creditors and other persons having claims against the estate of Richard Walker FOWLER, Esq., who died on the 10th day of November, 1859, at No. 2, Dorset-place, Tunbridge Wells, in the county of Kent, and previously resided at No. 17, Stratford-place, Oxford-street, in the county of Middlesex, are required, on or before the 18th day of February, 1860, to send particulars of such claims to Messrs. Vizard and Garnham, No. 55, Lincoln's-inn-fields, London, Solicitors to Ellen Fowler, Widow, and Richard Enoch Garnham, the Executrix and Executor named in the Will of the said Richard Walker FOWLER, which was proved by them in the Principal Registry of the Court of Probate, on the 26th day of November, 1859.      NOTICE is hereby given, that all persons claiming debts or liabilities affecting the estate of John SHARLAND, late of Sydenham, in the county of Kent, Gentleman, who died on the 17th day of September, 1859, and whose Will was proved on the 14th day of October, 1859, by Thomas Fry, of No. 39, Bishopsgate-street within, in the City of London, Gentleman, one of the Executors named in the said Will, are to send to the said Executor, at his aforesaid residence, or to his Solicitor, Mr. James Dyer Williams, of No. 5.      NOTICE is hereby given, that all creditors or other persons having claims against the estate of John ANDERSON, late of Landsdowne-place, Tunbridge Wells, in the county of Kent, a Major-General in the service of the late Honourable East India Company, who died on the 22nd day of July, 1858, and whose Will was proved in the Principal Registry of Her Majesty's Court of Probate on the 6th day of August, 1858, by Crawford Davison Kerr, of No. 4, Kensington-gardens-terrace, Hyde-park, in the county of Middlesex, Esq., and James Anderson, of No. 6, Billiter-square, in the City of London, Esq., Executors named in the said Will, are hereby required to send in their claims against the estate of the said John ANDERSON, to the said Executors or to Messrs. The Will of Benjamin HARRISON, Esq., formerly of Madras, in the East Indies, but late of Blackheath Park, Kent, was proved in London, under £90,000 personalty. The Testator died on the 31st of January last [1865]. His Will is dated April 13, 1854, and disposes of the whole of his property to his wife absolutely, appointing her sole Executrix.

Probate of the Will of the Right Hon. Mary, Dowager Countess of Amherst, formerly of Knole Park, Sevenoaks, Kent, but late of Bournemouth near Christchurch, Hants, was proved in her Majesty's Court, on the 12th ult., and the personalty sworn under £140,000; the Executors being her nephew, the Right Hon. Mortimer Sackville West (the third surviving son of the Earl and Countess Delawarr), and Frederick Flud Nicholl, Exa.. The trustees are the Earl of Verulam and Bernard Hale, Esq. of Holly Hill, Tunbridge Wells. The Testatrix was the eldest daughter and coheir of the third Duke of Dorset (title now extinct), and was twice married - first, in 1811, to Other ARCHER, sixth Earl of Plymouth, who died in 1833 (title now extinct); and secondly, in 1839, to William PITT, first Earl Amherst, P.C., G.C. II., who had been Ambassador to China and Governor General of India, and died in 1857.

     Her Ladyship's Will is dated 1860, and there are two Codicils, executed in February and May, 1864. Her Majesty having been graciously pleased to grant the dignity of Baroness to the Testatrix's sister, Elizabeth, Countess Delawarr, by the title of Baroness of Buckhurst, with remainder of dignity of Baron Buckhurst to her sister's second surviving son (the Testatrix's nephew), the Hon. and Rev. Reginald Windsor Sackville West, Rector of Wittingham, and Chaplain in Ordinary to the Queen.

     The Testatrix, by a Codicil, has conveyed all her estates in the counties of Kent, Warwick, Glocester, and Sussex, and all other estates, together with the statues, pictures, furniture, and effects about the mansion of Knole in trust, in a course of entail, to correspond as nearly as may be with the title of the Barony of Buckhurst. Her jewels and ornaments of the person she leaves to her niece, Lady Arabella Diana Sackville West. All wines and consumable stores her Ladyship has bequeathed to her sister, Countess Delawarr, whom she has appointed residuary legatee. There are a few legacies to personal friends, and to each of the Executors and trustees £500.

     The will, dated June 13 last, of Joshua WILSON, late of Nevill Park, Tunbridge Wells, who died on Aug. 14, was proved on the 23rd ult. by Mr. Samuel MORLEY, M.P., and Thomas WILSON and John Remington WILSON, the sons, the Executors, the personal estate being sworn under £45,000. The Testator bequests to the London Missionary Society, £200; to the Home Missionary Society, the Irish Evangelical Society and Congregational Home Mission, and the Colonial Missionary Society, £100, free of legacy duty; to his wife all his furniture and household effects, £300 absolutely, his residence at Nevill Park, and the annual dividends of certain stocks and shares for life. On her death such stocks and shares are to go to his daughter M. Mary Elizabeth WILSON, who also takes some other stocks and shares at once. To his eldest son Thomas he devises his Essex and Kent estates, and the residue of his real and personal estate he leaves to his second son, John Remington WILSON.

A LARGE SUM FOR CHARITIES.


     By his will of 18th May, 1896, with a Codicil of the 19th October, 1898, Mr. Francis HEATHCOAT, of 1, Belmont-villas, Margate, who died on 10th March last, aged 77 years, bequeathed to the Railway Benevolent Institution, in Seymour-street, £1,000; to the Voluntary Schools of the Dane, of Holy Trinity and of St. John, Margate, £1,000 each; to the Margate Cottage Hospital and the Margate Branch of St. John Ambulance Association, £500 each; to the Margate Creche and the Buller Court Charity, in the parish of St. John, Margate, £200 each: and to the Royal Sea Bathing Infirmary, at Margate, £10,000. After making some personal bequests, the Testator left the residue of his estate in trust for such charitable institutions, including those already named in his will, as the Executors may choose. The Testator's personal estate has been valued at £38,635, 7 shillings and 9 pence, and the amount available for charitable purposes will, apparently, be between £25,000 and £30,000.

The residue of his estate he left to the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen and the Music Hall Benevolent Fund and Institution.
